Daniel Gadd

Humanistic Integrative Counsellor

Daniel is a BACP registered Integrative Counsellor with a BSc in Psychology. His approach is rooted in curiosity and self-compassion, helping clients understand why certain feelings and behaviours are showing up in their circumstances, and how.

With that understanding, clients can feel more confident making choices that line up with their values.

Working integratively, Daniel draws on a range of techniques. That can mean exploring patterns in how and when challenges show up, sometimes going back to when they first started.

It can also mean working more pragmatically with cognitive tools to manage things in the moment, or looking at your values and preferences so you feel more aligned with where you're heading.

His aim is a non-judgemental space that feels safe to explore what's going on. He doesn't tell clients what they should think or do. He encourages them to reconnect with themselves, extend themselves some grace, and work with their feelings compassionately so they can make informed choices about what comes next.

Daniel’s approach is informed by psychology. He completed his BSc in Psychology while working as a Research Assistant and as a Befriender for people with learning difficulties, then qualified as an Integrative Counsellor, working with a local counselling agency and a sight loss charity.
