Stuart Henderson
Trainee CBT Counsellor & Careers Coach
Stuart is a trainee counsellor specialising in Relational Cognitive Behavioural Therapy at the University of Portsmouth, and a Student Member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP).
His approach combines evidence-based CBT with humanistic principles, creating a warm, supportive space where clients can explore what's really going on for them and work towards meaningful change.
Alongside his counselling training, Stuart brings over five years of experience within NHS Talking Therapies, supporting individuals with mild to moderate and longstanding anxiety and depression.
He also works in further education as a Level 6 Career Adviser and Coach and is a member of the Career Development Institute, giving him a grounded understanding of how emotional wellbeing and career identity are often tangled up together.
This blend of clinical and career experience means Stuart doesn't just work with what's presenting on the surface, whether that's anxiety, low mood, or a loss of confidence, he's equally attuned to questions of identity, professional image, and where someone goes next.
He's passionate about helping people reconnect with their strengths and move forward with greater confidence and purpose.
Stuart is available for Low cost CBT therapy.
Stuart is currently able to see clients online and in person.
